Quotes
CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis:
– This was our season debut and, naturally, there were some nerves. Congratulations to the team on the first win. It was obvious that we had some good and bad stretches today. We had a good rhythm on defense and offense in the 1st and 3rd quarters. During the 2nd and 4th quarters, our opponent shot 7-13 and 6-9 from downtown, respectively. Enisey is a good team, but with all due respect, the outcome was decided in the 4th quarter. We led by 20 points. This was a good lesson for us. We’ll keep working in order to reach our goals.

Enisey head coach Oleg Okulov:
– It was an up and down game. We made a lot of unnecessary mistakes and CSKA–one of the top Euroleague teams–made us pay. CSKA was able to make up for its mistakes with its talent and depth; we didn’t have that luxury.

Nonetheless, there were some bright spots. The guys didn’t give up. We evened things up in the 2nd quarter. After losing the 3rd quarter, we tried to get better and kept battling.

I want to thank everyone that did so much work to get the arena ready. A separate thank-you to our fans. Their support today was very important!
