The Russian national team defeated Bosnia & Herzegovina on the road, 78-67, in EuroBasket qualifying to advance to the 2017 European championships. Sergei Bazarevich’s squad is a perfect 3-0 in Group C and clinched 1st place with a game to spare.
The final contest vs. Sweden is scheduled for September 17 in Krasnodar.
Estonia and Belarus remain in contention for a tournament berth. Both squads are 2-2 and split 2nd place in Group D.
EuroBasket 2017 will be played in four countries (Israel, Romania, Turkey, and Finland), featuring 24 national teams competing from August 31 to September 17.
